I have WP Job Openings set to send an email notification to the HR department for a client, but they said they haven’t been receiving any emails and that they have to log onto the WordPress backend to see if anyone has applied for the job.

    Hi @jenhurley,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

Can you please install the plugin (You can remove the plugin after the use), WP Mail Logging (https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wp-mail-logging/), then check if the mails are properly logged (Tools > WP Mail Log)? If the notification mails are logged and it’s not delivered, then, it’s not the problem with the plugin, but, an issue with your email delivery service. In that case, the above-mentioned issue can happen if you use the default PHP mail service. So, most of the users prefer other mail services(paid as well as free) for email delivery.

You can refer to this wonderful guide for the solutions to configure other email services: https://kinsta.com/knowledgebase/wordpress-not-sending-emails/ or you can contact your hosting provider if you are using the default mail service(provided by your host) and not using any other email services.

I sometimes have found myself receiving emails in the Spam folder, before trying anything else you might want to check that.

    Hi,

This is due to your WordPress Permalink Settings. Please go to WordPress Settings > Permalinks and choose ‘Post name’ instead of ‘Plain’ and click ‘Save Changes.’ We hope this helps.

    Hi @vidyakv

I have downloaded wp mail logging and it logs both applicant and admin emails however only the applicant is receiving the email.

I want to purchase the pro version but would like some help fixing this issue first please.

    Thanks,
    Meg

    Hi @moochyloudesigns,

There can be many reasons for this behavior. First, please check if the ‘from’ address used by our plugin (Settings > Notifications) for the applicant and admin notifications are the same. Also, avoid using the same email addresses for the From and To fields.

If the above points are covered, and the notification emails are logged and not delivered, it’s not an issue with our plugin but an issue with your email delivery service. In that case, the issue mentioned above can happen if you use the default PHP mail service. So, most of the users prefer other mail services(paid and free) for email delivery. You can refer to ‘External Resources’ for solutions regarding your issue.
