# Not sequential?

 * Hi guys,
 * Most of my order numbers are ok, but occasionally they skip a few??
 * For example, last week we ran through 550 – 607 without problems, but then it
   jumped straight to 614 for the next order (placed on the same day as 607, just
   a few minutes after).
 * Is there anything that could be causing this? It keeps happening and is really
   annoying! If they aren’t 100% sequential we might as well go back to the totally
   random numbers that come by default, otherwise what’s the point?
 * Hope you can help me here – even if the answer is that we need to go for the
   pro version.
 * Thanks,
 * Simon

 * Hey Simon,
 * Sorry to hear about this. While I think there’s lots of good reasons to upgrade
   to the premium version, skipping order numbers wouldn’t be one; neither plugin
   should be doing that. There’s no condition that I’m aware of that would cause
   this to occur, to do any sort of investigation for you I’d need you to submit
   a contact form request on our site [http://www.skyverge.com/contact/](http://www.skyverge.com/contact/)
   along with a temporary admin user/pass and I can log on and see whether anything
   looks amiss.
 * Best,
    Justin

 * I wanted to update this thread because I just worked with another user of the
   plugin who apparently wasn’t getting sequential order numbers, and the issue
   in his case was a way out of date WooCommerce version being used (1.5.1) which
   is over 2 years old now and pre-dates custom order number compatibility. For
   him, updating to a newer version of WooCommerce should do the trick.
 * So that’s a potential cause for anyone experiencing unsequential order numbers:
   make sure your version of WooCommerce is at least 1.5.7 or greater
 * Justin
