• Edit: I stick to “not that simple plugin”, is more than just activate. Finally get it working but still some minor problems in browsers after I activate it. You need to know how manage your hosting, your web files, you need to edit some files manually without knowing if is going to work or not. And of course there is no free support unless you make a bad review. Good thing: They answer quickly after that, worth a star more.

    Hi @bilibramboy,

It sounds as if you don’t have a valid SSL certificate, which is required for Really Simple SSL to work. You can test your certificate here:

    https://ssllabs.com/ssltest

The plugin does not change URL’s, except for the home_url and site_url. These can easily be changed back. For instructions to revert to http, please follow these instructions:
    Automatic revert:
    https://really-simple-ssl.com/knowledge-base/uninstall-websitebackend-not-accessible/

    Or manually:
    https://really-simple-ssl.com/knowledge-base/when-the-built-in-deactivation-does-not-work-manual-uninstalling/

Following the instructions will fully revert your site to http.

You may need to clear your browsercache.

I mostly solved it going back to my host and reenacting the certificate, which was already active and valid.
I already did the clear browser data several times and try differents ways and places to access the site before write the review and a search in a lot of forums.
Still some problems in browsers I think due to modify .htaccess in the 301 redirection.
When it shows, it is safe place now.

Well and now I just realize the flaw is http is not redirected to https

    Hi @bilibramboy,

By default Really Simple SSL redirects to https with a php redirect. Additionally I always recommend to enable the .htaccess redirect, as in some cases caching may prevent the redirect from activating.

Can you try enabling the .htaccess redirect to see if that solves the redirection issue? It should show no the dashboard as suggestion (in settings/ssl)

    Hello again,
    And thanks again for answer.
Yes, I already did, before write this messages I tried a lot of things. I enable the .htaccess with the code that the plugin generates. I tried with wordpress redirect only, with htaccess only, and with both enabled.

Thing is, when I write the place with https it works now, perfect, safe place, the lock. But if I force the http in the browser the direction that automatically appears is http://www.domain.com/www/ (appears with the lock, but as an unknow place)

Other external problem is google is caching my previous site with the http so in a single search it appears and is same domain but with an http (I already working on indexing new place with google search console)

    My server support answer:

    soporte@*****:~$ wget www.******.com

    Resolving www.******.com (www.******.com)… 188.***.***.144
    Connecting to www.******.com (www.******.com)|188.***.***.144|:80… connected.

HTTP request sent, awaiting response… 301 Moved Permanently
    Location: https://www.******.com/www/ [following]
    –2020-04-27 12:48:35– https://www.******.com/www/
    Connecting to http://www.achoprop.com (www.******.com)|188.***.***.144|:443… connected.
HTTP request sent, awaiting response… 404 Not Found
    2020-04-27 12:48:35 ERROR 404: Not Found.

So they say the problem is a file with wrong redirection.

Well, and I will finish it. SOLVED by myself, deactivate plugin, not uninstall. Change the .htaccess forcing redirection manually, seems like the one the plugin generates didn’t work.
So. I keep it the review, is not simple use plugin, it cost me a lot to figure out and finally is not active but I keep it in my plugin list (I didn’t delete because I don’t want to go back to http).
Good point is you try to help and is very appreciated.
