Hi @urse121, thank-you for dropping us a message.
If you are using a WordPress Multisite installation, the My Sites > Network Admin > Dashboard > Settings > Menu settings > Enable administration menus > Plugins box will need to be checked to display the plugins menu to the site admins.
After clicking Save Changes, you should now be able to find Wordfence in the administration menu.
Thanks,
Peter.
Hi Peter,
Thanks so much! Sorry, I already had this option checked (I just re-checked) and I have other network plugins display in the Network Admin menu.
Wordfence is still missing for me.
Uros
I forgot to mention. The plugin is working perfectly on all of my single installs and none of my two networks.
i kinda having the same problem, i found that wp-hide is redirecting wp-admin page (on purpose) and it completly disactivates (the menu) of wordfence. is there any way of keeping both working ?
thank you.
Hi @urse121,
You should only need to install Wordfence on the master account and not for each individual site, so the plugin should only be visible on the main site network admin dashboard.
Are you using any third-party multisite plugins, or are you referring to the inbuilt WordPress multisite functionality? How does your setup compare to the installation highlighted on this page? https://www.isitwp.com/install-setup-wordpress-multisite-network/
Thanks again,
Peter.
Hi @ricardodacostaborges,
Please take a look at my posts here to see if they help. If not, please start a new topic as per the forum guidelines and highlight the circumstances of your issue and what you have already tried to resolve it as seen here.
We can better help our customers if topics concentrate on the specific issues for a single user just in case there are differences in the server setups or the solution required. We’ll always be glad to help you.
Thanks,
Peter.
Hi @wfpeter,
Thank you. @ricardodacostaborges was completely right, thanks for your comment.
Indeed it is WP Hide blocking the Wordfence menu in the Network Admin.
I will post to the forum of WP Hide instead.
Thank you, best regards,
Uros
Hi @urse121,
That’s really useful to know, I’ve not used that plugin in the wild before so will bear it in mind for future cases similar to this.
Peter.
@urse121 …and from what i found … if thats a “bug” (as i suspect its a feature), its only on the redirect of the admin page (wp-admin.php), if you leave all settings the same and only turn that off they both work! … and i also found that wp-hide keeps changing some links (even inside html href’s, that is anoying af…) i had to use an “extra” redirect (on wp-hide)… !
@wfpeter … yes, multisite is a headhache…, but if “we” get it to work properly it could be the next “big thing” on web customization!
i think…i need a professional on this asap or will get a professional on mental health soon…very soon … :\ :)!
Hi @wfpeter thanks for your help, indeed it was the wp-hide. I switched since to WPS Hide plugin on all of my multisite installations and it’s working great together with Wordfence.
@ricardodacostaborges Thank you Ricardo, I had the same issue with WP Hide & Wordfence and after reading your reply I fixed that.
