Hi @wordpressdublin,
I’m sorry to hear you are disappointed. I fail to see which are the unnecessary branded adds since the UI has stayed completely the same across the latest version.
Can you tell us more about that?
Thanks!
I saw a big ad panel the last time I installed it, simple functionality that should not need a plugin. Thanks for the reply.
Hi @wordpressdublin,
it’s not an ad panel, but a notification with a summary of the latest improvements, plus a form to subscribe to the Yoast newsletter (which is completely optional and free).
The notification can be dismissed with a simple click and won’t be shown again until the next update.
Actually, in the new version released just today the notitication is displayed only in websites who are upgrading from versions before 3.2.5, because it’s important for the users to know that the plugin has changed name and ownership. Also, the notification is now displayed (until dismissed) just in a couple of screens instead of everywhere, as it was before.
I hope these improvements will be welcomed, and you may give Duplicate Post another chance.
Thank you for your feedback!
Remove all this ‘nagging’ stuff, I will use the plugin again. All these things are just ads, you can call it what you like, but its a prompt to do something that’s not related to the actual function of the plugin. Thanks
