Notification on updated posts

    Hi, I have been enjoing MailPoet to send notification emails for new posts, but I also need to notify users on updates on existing posts.

    For example, I often need to update the existing posts with new information:
    1. Feb 11: New Post “A”
    2. Feb 12: Update Post “A” with new information “A2”
    3. Feb 13: Update Post “A” with new information “A3”

    Subscribe2, which I used in the past, was able to send emails on the #2 and #3 above when I change the status of the post to “draft” and republish it. I tried the same operation with MailPoet, but no emails were sent.

    I would sincerely appreciate it if you could let me know any solution.

    Hi there @rinriki,

    Thanks for reaching out to MailPoet and good to hear you’re liking it so far.

    I can confirm that MailPoet will only send out a Post Notification **when a post is first published.**

    Moving a post into Draft mode and back into Published status will **not** trigger a resend of the Post Notification.

    The only way to trigger a new automatic notification is to delete the post and make sure it is permanently deleted from the trash; then create a new post with the same title and permalink, and paste in the new information, then publish.

    Alternately, you could create a newsletter once a week and manually add any posts with updated information using the Posts block to send out.
