# Notifications chat

 * I have a page with the “private message box” And another page with a “chatroom”,
   I use buddypress … The notifications are working very good .. too good 🙂 … is
   it possible to disable notifications for the chatroom only ?
 * So that people get a notification when they receive a private message, but don’t
   get a notification when someone typed a message in the public chatroom ? .. otherwise
   people are gona get hundrds of notifications lol 🙂

 * In chat room settings you can disable notifications for it (it’s disabled by 
   default)

 * that’s the point, it is disabled 😉
 * Everything was working good, but since the last update, there are some bugs with
   the buddypress notification bell.
 * When users send messages (private) The counter (notificatin bell) goes up but
   it says “you have no new messages. Although the messages do arrive in the inbox.
 * And when a user post something in the chatroom .. then ALL users their counters
   are going up 🙂 and also saying “you have no new messages” , but I don’t want
   that all users get a notification when someone post something in the chatroom..
   else it’s going to be a lot of notifications everywhere 🙂
 * But like I said, it started doing that since the last update.
