 * I mean, you _say_ nothing to say. But in actual fact there’s a lot.
    - You haven’t told me what you were trying to do. I’m assuming you installed
the plugin and then left it at that. Did you add a shortcode?
    - What other plugins do you have installed? Have you generated your own RSS
      feeds?
    - Who are you hosted with?
    - What is your theme?
 * All the above could have led to you having issues. Even just laziness that you
expected money to roll in with this installed. Alas, this is just a tool. Like
a spade. Owning a spade doesn’t dig a hole, and quite frankly the fact you’ve
left a 6 word review suggests the level of effort you have put into my plugin.
 * I’m given a right to reply to all reviews, and this is what I’m doing. If you
had left a support request I’d have likely responded, but you couldn’t even do
that. Instead you left a negative review.
 * We are going through a transition phase. This is due to eBay being eBay, so although
the plugin does work some effort will have to be put in to use a non default
RSS feed. If this isn’t acceptable, I’ll happily give you a refund of the zero
dollars you’ve spent on the plugin. A dollar amount slightly less with the effort
you’ve put in before leaving your negative review.
 * Have a good day.

 * Hello, sorry to disappoint you but I try many time to install your plugin on my
Roseta theme website. It installed expensive cars auctions (yours?).I understood
then that it was much more complicated than I wanted. So I found another plugin
which does the job I wanted in two minutes : showing my ads on ebay on one page.

 * It is awfully unfair to give this plugin 1 star because you don’t even understand
what this plugin does. This plugin does NOT show your ads on eBay, that’s not
what it is designed for. What plug-in did you use to show your “ads” on eBay?
I’m curious to find it out. Scott & Rhys made this plugin available for free
for everyone even when eBay screwed it up for everyone. Again, giving a review
based on your lack of research (not even understanding what you need) is totally
   irresponsible.

 * No one’s aggressive here. I’m talking “facts” here. You are the only unreasonable
person in this thread. Installing a plugin that doesn’t do what you need to accomplish
in the first place and giving a false rating is just irresponsible. These developers
provided this wonderful plugin for years without asking for a single dime nor
   ads.

 * Not to feel ”unreasonable” and because you are talking money and eBay sellings
I must answer this. My only concern when I wrote this one star feedback stays
the same : if some newbie like me only follows what is said on the plug-in text,
it brings to a page filled by some expensive cars on eBay. If she or he doesn’t
pay attention may it stays on the website like it is? Why not like on other plugins
just format the RSS like ”example.rsstext” and not a real auction line which
   brings to these expensive cars?

 * Hi C,
 * Right. I’ve been avoiding commententing here purely because you’ve made your
mind up and whilst there is a right to reply (which I exercised), I’ve felt that
me replying is getting us nowhere. However, I must reply to the above as you
   say I take money.
 * At no point do I “take money”. In fact I’m very open with my plugin in that it’s
designed to help you display eBay feeds and provide a solution for affiliates.
The example default feed is exactly that – an example. I was finding that if
I didn’t provide an example feed people would write in asking why it wasn’t working,
even though [when there are setup instructions](https://www.winwar.co.uk/2018/09/how-to-set-up-ebay-feeds-for-wordpress/?utm_source=installation&utm_medium=wordpressorgreadme&utm_campaign=ebayfeedsforwordpress)
   and [full documentation](https://www.winwar.co.uk/documentation/ebay-feeds-for-wordpress-documentation-4/)
to provide setup linked to the documentation. The feed is exactly that, a default
example. It’s Ferraris purely because it _is_ so outlandish and it _is_ so out
there people will know it’s wrong and begin to look for a solution. They can
also see how the plugin looks out the box as well. If somebody doesn’t follow
the setup instructions then yes users could click on the auctions and yes there
could be an earning to me (however to set it up with Auction Request I had to
provide a campaign). However I cannot be expected to be blamed for lazy webmasters,
can I? Should people who provide fitness DVD’s be blamed if a user buys a DVD
to lose weight but doesn’t follow the instructions on the DVD? Of course not.
 * Recently, as alluded to by others in the thread, eBay have been making it very
difficult by moving the goal posts. First they switched off the Dynamic Feed
Generator, meaning the plugin wouldn’t work. A separate tool called Auction Request
did some work, but that too recently has gone dark. I’ve been scrambling around
trying to find another solution, but my day job (yes, contrary to your belief,
the money I supposedly “take” from you doesn’t cover my bills) in the middle
of a pandemic has been meaning this plugin has taken a back seat, which meant
I’ve been unable to work on it as much as I would have liked.
 * You’ve clearly found a solution that works for you. For which I’m happy. I do
   hope it works for you.

 * hey Rhys now I understand better that your plugin worked fine before eBay made
some changes and yes I should review my feedback for 3 stars 🤩 not one. Sorry
but it was important to understand why your plug-in doesn’t work easily for people
like me and this thread can bring you more people interested in it hopefully.
The other plugin which I found comes with a ebay.uk link at the bottom so it
is not entirely “free” like yours. It does the job I wanted. Actually I am somehow“
leaving” eBay by force because of changes like you too. Expensive fee not only
on eBay, but mostly Paypal hidden fees made me in trouble recently (I explain
on my website) Today my website is the only place where I will be selling my
artworks now on. I was using eBay (and PayPal) during 12 years!
 * I hope you will be better with your plugins experience soon. Good luck 🤞
 * Cyril
Note: auctionfeedonyourwebsite.co.uk is this link and I will give name
of plugin for simple ebayads displaying (and nothing else) which worked later
   when I have a PC nearby…
