# OAuth method deprecated

 * This morning I got an email from Google:
 * Starting October 3, 2022, we will block OOB requests to Google’s OAuth 2.0 authorization
   endpoint for existing clients
 * this apparently effects my albums. Should this plugin be rewritten or just the
   documentation on how to connect to Google properly?

    How will this affect the album links? What is the solution?

 * per october the site will no longer be able to access the albums unless a different
   way of authentication is implemented.
    Haven’t looked into it yet, was just wondering
   whether anyone else got the same message and knows what to do about it
