# Object cache not cleared

 * Previously reported a couple times, including [here](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-doesnt-clear-object-cache-on-update/)
   and [here](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/wp-engine-objecttransient-cache-isnt-purged-upon-changes/).
 * To reproduce, set up a test environment with a Redis server available, install
   and configure [Redis Object Cache](https://wordpress.org/plugins/redis-cache/)(
   properly), and test functionality of plugin. Doesn’t reflect the re-ordering 
   on the front end until you clear the cache.
 * This issue should also turn up using any other kind of persistent object cache.
   As another user reported, WP Engine does this out-of-the-box, so unless they 
   added a workaround specific to this plugin, it should also break there.

 * Agreed, seeing this with memcached. Need to clear the cache when saving the taxonomy
   order. I can’t see any calls to `clean_taxonomy_cache()` in the code; recommend
   that this is called every time the order is updated.
