 * Hi
 * I have a problem where a site will not connect to One Drive so that backups can
   be uploaded. The plugin developers identified the problem as **object-cache.php**
   If they disable this file, it can connect. However they are not sure that this
   file belongs to **W3 Total Cache**. Before I just delete the file, can you please
   tell me if this file is used by your plugin, in which case I will need it.
 * Many Thanks
 * Vernita

 * Hello [@redswirl](https://wordpress.org/support/users/redswirl/)
 * Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to help!
   The object-cache.php is a
   drop in file that is used for Object Caching by the W3 Total Cache and can be
   added by other plugins that are utilizing the Object Cache
 * Are you by any chance using Object Caching in the W3 Total Cache – Check the
   Performance>General settings, and if so can you please share which caching method
   you are using for this?
   If the Object Caching is used in the W3 Total Cache,
   then it’s the object-cache.php is a W3TC drio in file
 * Thanks!

 * Hi Marko
 * Apologies for my late reply. W3 Total Cache was actually disabled because I was
   struggling with this. I now enabled it again and I see Object cache is not enabled.
   When I installed it I used the wizard and just chose the recommended settings.
   Does that mean I can delete/rename that file. Or should I enable object cache
   in your plugin?

 * Hello [@redswirl](https://wordpress.org/support/users/redswirl/)
   Thank you for
   your feedback.If the Object Caching is not enabled then the object-cache.php
   is not used by the W3TCI would recommend deleting this file manually.And if the
   only caching method to use is Disk I would not recommend using Object Caching
   in this case.
 * Thanks!
