 * Hi,
 * I’ve encountered a very strange issue helping a friend set up a blog. I installed
   WP LinkedIn and was asked for the key/secret. My friend got these for me and
   when I entered them I got the error that they weren’t recognised so I clicked
   through for a new one and signed into my own LinkedIn account.
 * The plugin now displays my details on his blog. I have deleted the plugin and
   re-installed with no luck, I have asked him to get a new key/secret which he
   did and still it’s showing my details.
 * I have no doubt that the problem is on my end – but any help would be greatly
   appreciated.
 * Thanks,
    Liam.

 * If you get a token using your credentials you will get your profile, your friend
   needs to get a token for themselves

 * Second time around he did…but it won’t seem to get rid of me. Possibly a cache
   issue or similar?

 * not a cache issue, the cache is reset when the token is renewed.
    are you sure
   he used his own credentials to login to LinkedIn?

 * ok, so try the following:
 * 1. go to `wp-admin/options.php`
    2. find the `wp-linkedin_oauthtoken` key in
   the list 3. set the value of the token to an empty string 4. save 5. go to the
   plugin’s settings page 6. empty the plugin’s cache using the blue button down
   the page 7. now you should have an error message in the dashboard that says the
   token is invalid and the page where you put the shortcode should be empty 8.
   go to linkedin.com and make sure you’re logged out 9. regenerate the token, authenticate
   using your friend’s credentials and authorize the plugin to access his profile
   10. check out the page where you put the shortcode
