# Old update

 * Hi just wanting a heads up with regards updating your plugin from Version 3.2.10.
   I have just taken over a website rebuild that hasnt been touched for 9 years.
 * Any advice?

 * When you update the All in One SEO plugin from v3.x to v4.x, it automatically
   migrates all of your data from the previous version to our latest version.
 * However, there are two things to keep in mind when updating from v3 to v4 –
 * 1. **Home Page Settings in v3.x**
   If you are using a static home page and have
   still set the old “**Use Static Front Page Instead**” setting in v3.x to Disabled,
   then you’ll need to set that to Enabled if you want the SEO title and meta description
   set on your static homepage to be migrated from v3.x to v4.x.
 * 2. **Autogenerate Descriptions setting in v3.x**
   If you have unchecked **Autogenerate
   Descriptions** setting in v3.x, then after updating to v4.x, you’ll need to go
   to **All in One SEO > Search Appearance > Advanced** and set that to On. This
   will enable AIOSEO to generate the meta description for content where no description
   has been entered.
