# "Older Posts" 404 error

 * Hi all
    My “Older posts” link goes to the wrong location. I’ve read loads of 
   support posts which say about resetting permalinks and deleting your .htaccess
   file, but none of this works for me.
 * The problem is that the “Older posts” links to:
    /wordpress/wordpress/?paged=
   2
 * But it should link to:
    /wordpress/?paged=2
 * What have I done? 🙂

 * Just found [this article](http://newwpthemes.com/forum/topic.php?id=1140) whereby
   the poster has exactly the same issue – namely the link duplicates a director
   in the path.

 * Scroll to the very end of the WordPress area, it’s the last thing on the page.

 * You’re kidding – another problem to solve 🙁
 * You should be seeing [this](http://www.graphicpull.com/downloads/wp-error.jpg).
   I’ve just checked it on Mac and PC (Firefox and IE) but I can see “Older posts”
   at the end of the page on every browser.
 * Can you tell me what browser you’re using and the last article you can see that
   WordPress page.

 * Nope – definitely not seeing it. I’m looking at a single post called “I see dead
   people” and I’m using Firefox 13 on Win 7. I’d suggest starting by sorting out
   the [markup errors](http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.graphicpull.com%2Fgp_seen.html).
   Then move onto the [CSS errors](http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator?profile=css3&warning=0&uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.graphicpull.com%2Fgp_seen.html).

 * Your older page link is pointing to [http://sirius.servers.eqx.misp.co.uk/~graphicp/wordpress/wordpress/?paged=2](http://sirius.servers.eqx.misp.co.uk/~graphicp/wordpress/wordpress/?paged=2)
   In other words, a completely different url. Where – **exactly** – did you install
   WordPress? And what urls did you enter when you installed it?
