One Database; Many Blogs

Greetings Everyone:

I am wondering – if I were to create one centralized database, then is there a way I could direct like 10 different blogs (each with a unique theme and different domain name) to that database?

Am not actually going to do it just yet. It’s more of a curiosity thing. But one day.
