# Only Showing Shortcode Text

 * Hi! When I include the shortcode for this plugin, the only output in the browser
   is the actual text for the code. This happens whether I wrap it in a div tag,
   or change the theme.
 * For instance, if the shortcode is [display-posts posts_per_page=”1000″ order=”
   DESC”], on the page that’s what shows up–no posts. I’m using WP version 4.9.4
   and get a message saying “This plugin has not been tested with your current version
   of WordPress” in the details area of the plugin, so I’m not sure if that’s an
   issue.

 * Are you sure the plugin is active? The only way you would experience the the 
   result you’re seeing is if the plugin has not been activated.
