# ‘Oops. Something went wrong…’

 * Hi there
    My client has recently discovered this error. I’ve gone through lots
   of things after searching the forum but to no avail:
    - Using latest MailChimp for WordPress Lite plug in version 2.3.12
    - Regenerated the API key
    - Did the Renew Mailchimp Lists
 * All I ever get is the error message “Oops. Something went wrong. Please try again
   later.”
 * The sign up form appears at the bottom of all pages at [http://www.theyogaroot.com](http://www.theyogaroot.com)

 * I got that message too using the same app, as well as ‘Configuration error.’ 
   The message fluctuates between 3 different types.

 * The Oops… error usually means there is a required field value missing form the
   form.
 * Please take a look here for the most common solutions: [https://mc4wp.com/kb/fix-the-oops-something-went-wrong-error/](https://mc4wp.com/kb/fix-the-oops-something-went-wrong-error/)
 * If you refreshed the lists and a required field is not added to the form at all
   it will show up as a red button above the form editor.

    ERROR: Form 7317 > MailChimp API error: 400 Bad Request.
   Your merge fields were invalid. – MMERGE4 : Please enter a value
 * What is the MMERGE4 field?

 * hHat is one of the fields you created in your MailChimp list and it is set to
   be required but was not included in your form.

   It will show you where you can see those fields in your MailChimp account etc.
