# Oops something went wrong message

 * Hi,
 * I have added a MC4WP mailchimp signup to the footer but not working, it says ‘
   Oops something went wrong, try later’.
 * This is what I have tried so far:
 * Go to Mailchimp for WP > Mailchimp, click on the Renew Mailchimp lists button.
   Once that is done, go to Mailchimp for WP > Form > Settings and make sure the
   correct list is still selected and hit save. Finally go to Mailchimp for WP >
   Form > Fields and make sure all the required fields are added to the form.

 * Please update the MC4WP plugin to the latest version first. If that doesn’t solve

 * If you can still not solve the error after reading that kb article, please let
   me know the error you see in the log under MC4WP > Other.
 * Often it’s a field that is set as required field in the Mailchimp audience settings,
   but not added to the form.

 * I checked under MC4WP > Other and discovered that I was trying to subscribe using
   an email that I had previously unsubscribed from the list. I used a different
   email and it works.
