# Opcode cache not in use

 * Hi there!
 * I have noticed that Query Monitor states that opcode cache is not in use, although
   after checking my php.ini file it is actually enabled.
 * Is this a bug from the plugin or perhaps something I should check on my end?

 * This message shows up if neither the “APC” nor “Zend OPcache” extensions for 
   PHP are enabled. It could potentially show up if the `extension_loaded()` function
   is disabled on your server, although I’ve not seen this myself.

 * Thanks for the quick reply, John! After all, it was a problem with the hosting
   provided, which had it blocked, but it’s now solved.
