Nice job on the site. And the site is actually pretty responsive, for a WordPress site. I found that going to excerpt only, on the main page, sped things up considerably, although considerably is still slower than an html site. Regardless of caching and optimizing, you are serving up a lot of blog on the main page, and with it goes the pictures. I have several sites, and some are cached, tweaked, bereft of plugins and devoid of pictures,and not much faster. Short of going to a dedicated server or perhaps a virtual dedicated server with 2g of ram, I think your site is as fast as it’s going to get. Maybe Sayontan has some pearls of wisdom to throw in here so we can both learn.
