# optional plugin directory

 * Please define a variable for an optional plugin directory. Currently, setting
   $wp_cache_plugins_dir to the new location in wp-config.php will be ignored. The
   default plugin directory should always be read and the optional directory should
   only be added. I would like to have a configurable value in wp-config.php that
   will not be removed during an update.
 * It would be important for me because I have to pass through a few cookies with
   an optional plugin. Thank you so much!

 * That variable, $wp_cache_plugins_dir, is set in wp-cache-config.php too, so you’ll
   need to delete it from that file (or just set it there in the first place)

 * Ok, I just ran the info on the plugin page:

   php**, WP Super Cache will look there instead. …
 * It does not work that way. On [https://odd.blog/wp-super-cache-developers/](https://odd.blog/wp-super-cache-developers/)
   you will find no reference to **wp-cache-config.php** and plugins. But now I 
   understand it a little better. 🙂
