 * I’m not really sure what version i am using but i am gussing it is 2.0.4
 * Ok I just got this site [http://206.191.130.52](http://206.191.130.52) but it’s
   passing the links as names.
 * on the wp-admin/options-permalink.php link I have Custom, specify below **/%year%/%
   monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/**
 * Now my links look like **[http://206.191.130.52/reservations](http://206.191.130.52/reservations)**
 * but they show a **The page cannot be found** error
 * does any one know how this is happening

    Are you sure that do you have Mode Rewrite in your server? Are you sure 
   that the .htaccess have the right CHOMD?

 * I had the same problem, it took me one week of searching through these forums,
   if you are getting the 403 error or 404 error take a look at this page it helped
   me straight away.

 * My problem was 403 error so I did what it recommended which was to insert this
   in my .htaccess file Options +SymLinksIfOwnerMatch above <IfModule mod_rewrite.
   c> and above this # BEGIN WordPress so it doesn’t get over written and my pretty
   permalinks /%category%/%postname%/%post_id% which resolve to [http://test.dappastyles.com/about/](http://test.dappastyles.com/about/)
   for my pages worked.
