# Order Payment method

   We received one order on the website which is showing payment method as “
   Payment via link”. Is the plugin generated payment link? The order went throught
   stripe. Can you please let us know? Waiting for your swift reply.

 * Great question! The “Payment via link” label you’re seeing typically means the
   customer completed their order using Link by Stripe, which is Stripe’s Express
   Checkout feature. It’s designed to make checkout faster and more secure by allowing
   returning customers to use saved payment details.
 * Here’s how it works: when a customer enters an email associated with a Link account,
   Stripe sends them an SMS verification code. Once verified, they can complete 
   the purchase using their saved card, no need to re-enter payment info. It’s a
   streamlined experience, especially for mobile users.
 * This is completely normal and secure. The payment was processed through your 
   Stripe gateway just like any other transaction. “Payment via link” simply indicates
   the customer used Link’s express checkout. You’ll find the full transaction details
   in your Stripe dashboard, and you can cross-reference the order amount and customer
   info there.
