# Outbound proxy support

 * Seems like Wordfence is not honoring [WP_PROXY_*](http://developer.wordpress.org/reference/classes/wp_http_proxy/)
   configuration options, which means that in a lot of enterprise installations,
   the plugin will not be very useful since the network admins tend to insist on
   outbound proxies.
 * I’ve written a very simple fix to this problem, which requires minimal changes
   to three source code files in your plugin. I’d be happy to share the code with
   you to save me from having to make the same changes every time the plugin is 
   updated…

 * Was the fix for this ever integrated? I need to know if the issues I’m having
   getting this plugin to work are just because I have not whitelisted the destination
   servers.

 * I believ the option the OP is referring to is now set in “how wordfence gets 
   its IP’s” on the options page
