 * Hi,
 * Am I correct in thinking that there are no customisable options to control the
   overlay elements? You can only turn on or off for instance, Category / Post Title/
   Excerpt but not rearrange their order?
 * If so it means the Category always comes before the Post Title, it is always
   displayed on top of the Post Title text. This can work in some cases, but in
   others it just gives less focus on the Post Title text.
 * Not being able to switch their order seems rather limited no, or am I missing
   something?
 * Thanks,
 * David

 * Hello,
 * Unfortunately, at the moment it is not possible to rearrange elements via the
   interface. To do this, you will have to customize the templates. For example,
   for a standard classic skin, you need to copy this template to your theme or
   child theme: **/wp-content/plugins/visual-portfolio/templates/items-list/items-
   style/meta.php**
 * Then you need to swap the lines with the connection so that the metas are in
   the places you need them to be: [https://prnt.sc/zph0loIqlB_c](https://prnt.sc/zph0loIqlB_c)
 * You can read about how to replace portfolio templates here: [https://visualportfolio.co/docs/developers/changing-default-templates-and-styles/](https://visualportfolio.co/docs/developers/changing-default-templates-and-styles/)
 * Perhaps in the future we will add similar options, but unfortunately I can’t
   say anything specific yet.
 * Regards,
   Alex

 * Hi Alex,
 * I see, that’s a shame. But thanks very much for providing the guide on how to
   do this manually. I’ll give it a go.
 * I guess, theme updates would overwrite our changes in this case too though right?
 * Thanks,
 * David

 * Hello,
 * If you use a child theme, changes to the theme should not affect you: [https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/advanced-topics/child-themes/](https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/advanced-topics/child-themes/)
