# Overwrite old posts

 * Hi there!
 * I am using CSV IMPORTER in order to add content – live data from the web – and
   everything works well.
 * The main problem is that the plugin creates new posts and doe not just update
   existing items.
    I have seen in earlier thread “[http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-csv-importer-overwrite-old-posts-with-new-version?replies=5&#8221](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-csv-importer-overwrite-old-posts-with-new-version?replies=5&#8221);
   that the plugin has no such functionality.
 * Could anyone help me update existing items> Either by twisting the code in the
   plugin or with any different way?
 * Any reply will be very much appreciated.

 * Have you figure it out how to change the code in CSV IMPOTRTER or you actually
   use the wp post corrector plugin mentioned in the thread?
 * I would be really much interested in twisting the code as well.

 * A bit confused too, if the plugin is updated with the functionality to update/
   replace the post or not.
    But, just in case a +1 more in support of this feature
   request. P.S. it should not be merging though…
