 * So I was messing with my why-i-blog.html page and decided to put it under the
   parent “about” making it [http://www.tammycamp.com/about/why-i-blog.html](http://www.tammycamp.com/about/why-i-blog.html).
   I decided to switch it back to [http://www.tammycamp.com/why-i-blog.html](http://www.tammycamp.com/why-i-blog.html)
   and now it is redirected to the same page [http://www.tammycamp.com/about/why-i-blog.html](http://www.tammycamp.com/about/why-i-blog.html)
   with nothing on it.
 * How do I correct it to display the content on [http://www.tammycamp.com/why-i-blog.html](http://www.tammycamp.com/why-i-blog.html)
   when I’ve already set the “page attributes” back to (no parent)?
 * Any suggestions?
 * Tammy

 * please before you do any of this **Backup your WordPress files and Database**
 * Try changing your permalinks back to Default so that every post and page is
   like this [http://www.tammycamp.com/?p=2](http://www.tammycamp.com/?p=2) then
   go and view the original page “Why i blog” and copy everything into some sort
   of rich text editor, then go and delete the old one, make a new one via Pages
   > Add New and paste the content and make it the same name.

 * So weird.
 * I did everything you stated and now the permalink won’t let me take have the
   URL back. It has this:
 * [http://www.tammycamp.com/why-i-blog-2.html](http://www.tammycamp.com/why-i-blog-2.html)
 * but still coming up as an error. 🙁

 * Do you use a custom permalink structure? if so, can you paste it here?

 * /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%.html
 * I used a redirect for the time being, but I would like the post slug to be why-
   i-blog.html

 * Yes, it is because I put a redirect on it….
 * It is not coming up as why-i-blog.html at the end post.
 * I need to modify it in the database, but don’t know where to look.

 * try editing the post’s slug from why-i-blog-2 to why-i-blog if you deleted the
   old one.

 * I did that already, and it didn’t work. That is why I was suggesting to delete
   it from the database…..
 * Do you know where to find it in the database?
 * Tx

 * The post? in the wp-posts table just look for the one with the title and click
   the red x next to it.
