Hi, I noticed that if I zoom in and out in my browser itself, the Page Header (which is the image on the top) does not re-size the same way – it moves around and appears not to be “fixed”. IS there a way to fix the header background so it zooms in the right proportions?

  • Hey,
Any chance you can post a link? If you go into the theme options > page title and set the background image there is an option to set the background size. Set that to cover and tell me if it’s what you were thinking.

hi, tx. yes it is on cover already it does that. it’s to do with re-sizing e.g. zooming the site on my browser where it all moves e.g. on PC click crtl and move mouse wheel. i will try to play around a bit more today, .incidentally – when i go to other pages eg. “about us etc” – I have a more narrow background on the top – only a snippet of the home page background – how can this be set individually or adjust this somehow? http://www.reachformore.net

    Hey,
So I think I see what you mean. because of how backgrounds work. and because of how background cover works I would just suggest you add the logo separate from the background. But if you absolutely have to have a background that always shows then you can use the “contain” instead of cover. That will force the image to be in the container but it will also mean you will have open spots on the edge with no background.

The height of your page header is set by the page title and the padding. On every page you can set the padding around the title.

    Hope that helps,

OK. thanks. Is this normal also with other templates that it moves of is this a feature of Pinnacle?
… I am not fond of contain but I tried that. Maybe I have a bug it doesn’t change it once I save and refresh.

What I did: Under Page Header Default Background:
no repeat, contain, fix, center top.

Hey, If you use contain or cover make sure you do not set the background to fixed. leave it on scroll.

Hi tx. I have done this. The picture appears fixed now. So that’s good. However I also have a Home Page Title there – and if I zoom smaller it’s fine but if I go over 100 %, the title moves out of the picture. http://www.reachformore.net

    Hey,
This not the title moving out of the picture it’s your image set to “contain” not cover so it will not grow if you zoom in. You have to set to cover for it to grow. I tried to say this above “That will force the image to be in the container but it will also mean you will have open spots on the edge with no background.”

Meaning once your background container grows you will have sections where there is no image.

I have to suggest again, a background image shouldn’t have a logo in it.

ok, I found the page title settings can be different from the home page so I think I figured it out. tx.

PS. the issue with the logo was that I had added it into the logo container and I just couldn’t get it to really stand out on the page…but will try to play around again.
