I’m trying to create a static page with no header. Using 2010 with a child. I created a page template called onecolhn-page.php, where i deleted the get_header from the wprlong template called one columenno sidebar, and put it in my files. It showed up as a choice. Got the following message when I choose it: * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in /home/content/48/7248748/html/wp- content/themes/twentyten/onecolnoh-page.php on line 16 * Obviously, that is not how to do it. I’m not sure I can figure out how to create and install a custom header file, but maybe. If everything between the and is important, then I’d still have the header on the page, wouldn’t I? * Let me step back. I really want a page with no header as a web page design. I need a blank slate to design my page. I just havn’t seen anything on the web that can get me there. I’m trying to learn WordPress, but it’s been a steep curve. Apparently a “no header” page is pretty far out of the box. I’d really appreciate your help iun getting there. Any ideas on the proper way to do it? I’m pretty sure others would benefit from the solution.
