Pagelayer contact email not captured

    I’m using a Pagelayer theme and it has a contact form. When I try to send an email with it and email sending fails (on localhost), the email is not captured in WP Email Log. (If the email sending is successful, it is captured in Email Log.)

    In all other instances, the email is captured in WP Email Log even if the email sending failed. I see in the source code it’s also using wp_mail.

    Do you know why the failed email isn’t captured in the Email Log in this scenario? (I need to capture the failed email because my E2E tests use the Email Log table to verify email sending)

    Do you have any other email-related plugins installed? Which outgoing email server are you expecting to be used?
