 * I have added the suggested modules to the pagespeed conf file and I am still 
   getting this plugin is useless error message is there other things that need 
   to be added now as well?

 * Hi, thanks for that I now get the cache cleared message. Will this also work 
   if I use the extend cache function?

 * also I am using the redirection plugin to make sure products urls are still pointing
   to the correct page if I change the structure will I have to disable that to 
   turn developer mode on?

 * Hi, what do you mean under “extended cache function”?
 * Developer mode is needed when you provide often modifications of style.css, other
   css, js files. Redirection should not have any relation to PageSpeed caching.
