Pagination customization in iGames theme?

I run http://addicted-gamers.com on an iGames WordPress theme.

We are running into a problem with WordPress’ paginate code. What we are trying to do is a break up longer posts into multiple pages. What happens when using the WordPress code is the “PAGE 1, 2” links appear after the comments section.

We want them in the post itself because the position they are in now might not be obvious to the reader to scroll or look further in order to find the link to the next page in the post.

Can you customize where the links are placed in WordPress? Or is there a plugin that will allow us to do that?
