 * I copied twitter into my .php and now I get the following error message so that
   I can’t access my site.
 * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in /home/linguag/public_html/wp-content/
   themes/twentyeleven/inc/widgets.php on line 24
 *  Help! it looks similar to the previous topic, but I need help in very clear 
   language as I am new to WordPress! Thanks.

    Thanks so much for offering to help … I was trying to add the twitter‘
   follow’ button so I copied and pasted the code into my sidebar .php

 * Do not edit the Twenty Eleven theme. It is the default WordPress 3.2 theme and
   having access to an **unedited** version of the theme is vital when dealing with
   a range of site issues. [Create a child theme for your changes](http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes).
   Once your child theme is active, we should be able to help with the customisation.

 * Hi linguagenius, I just wanted to touch base and say that I’m still here and 
   still happy to help. Please be sure to follow the recommendation of the moderators
   and:
 * 1. Use pastebin.com to show us your code
    2. Undo your changes to sidebar.php
   and then respond back with a few more details.
 * Also, have you though about simply adding the code you originall provided as 
   a text widget?

 * Hi Brad,
    I have used Pastebin, and entitled the post Linguagenius. I hope you
   can see it. I don’t know how I would make changes to sidebar.php, given that 
   I cannot access my site at all: when I go to linguagenius.com, I get the error
   message I began my post with – not the site itself.

 * To troubleshoot this issue, we’ll need to see the entire sidepar.php file. Can
   you try posting again in pastebin?

 * If you don’t have access to your website, you should still have access to FTP.

   I can see that your site is hosted with Hostgator. I recommend that you view

 * Thanks Brad. I have looked at the tutorial but still not sure what to actually
   do next (I can’t find sidebar php in the file manager) so I have asked hostgator
   support if they can help in any way.
