# Parse Error

 * I’m getting this error message “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION”
   I pasted a plugin code into my theme section. I tried opening in FileZilla but
   it won’t connect to server. Please help, also I am very very new to this so simple
   step by step instructions would be great.

 * If you broke the site by editing PHP via appearance->editor, you need to access
   the site to fix the file you were editing either via FTP or the file manager 
   app in your hosting control panel.
 * NEVER edit php files via appearance->editor. (Now you know why.)

 * Contact your host regarding FTP and/or control panel access. Navigate to the 
   file (wp-content/themes/yourtheme/), download the file you were editing and remove
   the stuff you added, then upload it.
