# Parse error

 * I cannot access my website, even to log in to the site. all I see is:
 * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ”’ (T_ENCAPSED_AND_WHITESPACE) in /home/
   urbanmet/public_html/wp-content/themes/bridge/functions.php on line 132
 * What do I do to fix this? I can’t reload anything, as I can’t access the dashboard

 * Did you edit any theme files?
 * If this is the theme you’re using [https://themeforest.net/item/bridge-creative-multipurpose-wordpress-theme/7315054](https://themeforest.net/item/bridge-creative-multipurpose-wordpress-theme/7315054),
   download a new copy, unzip locally, and then upload functions.php to your site,
   replacing what’s there. Use FTP or the file manager application on your hosting
   control panel to upload the file.

 * No, I didn’t, that is what is so strange about this. But thank you for your suggestion,
   I will try that. Do you think that I will have to rebuild my website?

 * No, you won’t have to rebuild (probably).
 * When you get your site back up, install Wordfence, set the scanning options to
   be very aggressive, and scan your site for hacks.
