# Parse error can t install wp

    phpMyAdmin 4.4.9 MySQL 5.070 host NET@VOUS [http://www.surfvideofactory.fr](http://www.surfvideofactory.fr)
 * Hi
 * I was running wp 4.3 everything was fine then tried to do a multi domain and 
   failed to it.
    Had ad lines in wp-config.php & .htaccess then i had different
   parse error, i saved nothing so i erased everything, database & wp files on server.
   I created a new database uploaded new wp 4.3 files on server and still can’t 
   install wp
 * when i go to

   i get this Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘{‘ in /vhosts/s/u/surfvide/
   www/wp-includes/functions.php on line 2689
 * when i go to
    [http://www.surfvideofactory.fr/wp-admin](http://www.surfvideofactory.fr/wp-admin)
   i get this Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in /vhosts/
   s/u/surfvide/www/wp-admin/index.php on line 103
 * when i go to
    [http://www.surfvideofactory.fr/wp-admin/install](http://www.surfvideofactory.fr/wp-admin/install)
   i get this Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘{‘ in /vhosts/s/u/surfvide/
   www/wp-includes/functions.php on line 2689
 * How is it possible, the wp files are new downloaded from wp site

 * My host told me this
 * To change PHP version you need to place .htaccess on your site.
    Edit this.
 * pour PHP 5.2 :
    SetEnv PHP_VER 5
 * Here is the message i get when i go to my site
 * Internal Server Error
 * The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to
   complete your request.
    Please contact the server administrator, [postmaster@surfvideofactory.fr](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/parse-error-can-t-install-wp/postmaster@surfvideofactory.fr?output_format=md)
   and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done
   that may have caused the error.
