 * I’m trying to install 2.6, but I get a parse error when I try to run install.
   php.
 * **Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/x/public_html/wp-includes/
   taxonomy.php on line 2053**
 * I’ve tried to delete all the files on the server. I downloaded the zip again,
   and made sure that I uploaded the files in ASCII. (I use filezilla.) Still the
   same parse error…
 * What’s wrong?

 * PS: I did a test install of 2.5.1 and it worked fine. This is another WP install
   using the same DB. The problem apparently lies with 2.6 as far as i can tell.
 * Better stick with 2.5 if you can help it =0

 * I’m having this exact problem right now, trying to install 2.6
 * I type in mywebsite.com/wp-admin/install.php,
 * and it says there’s an unexpected T_STRING in line 17.
 * I’ve looked at some PHP support pages online and I’ve tried checking the syntax
   in my wp-config.php file, but it looks fine. Can anyone help?
    Please email me
   at moneyenergy AT hotmail…..
 * Also, I’m trying to install it as part of a second database so that I can run
   two blogs within my same hosting account. But I’ve followed the codex instructions
   here and I don’t think that should be the problem….

 * p.s. the unexpected T_STRING is in line 17 of my wp-config.php file. Is this
   the problem you are having too?

 * I have the same issue (unexpected T_STRING is in line 17 of my wp-config.php
   file) upgrading from 2.3.2 to 2.6. I have multiple blogs’ tables in 1 DB. I am
   only upgrading one of these as a test. wp_db_version seems to be updated in /
   wp-includes/version.php to 8201 which indicates a WP 2.6 schema level. but upgrade.
   php returns blank as does other scripts.
