# Parse Error Need Quick Fix

 * I have no idea what happened. I was editing the functions.php file and clicked
   update and got this. Click back and deleted the code I had added and clicked 
   update and got the same thing. Now I can’t even login to the admin area. Help
   please.
 * This is the error but you can clearly see this on the site as the site is down
   right now: “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CLASS in /home/bluepopc/public_html/
   wp-content/themes/purity-of-soul/functions.php on line 7”
 * What happened and what do I do? Any help is appreciated.

 * FTP to your site and either:
 * 1) restore the functions.php with the one that came with the theme
    2) restore
   it from a backup so you don’t lose any other changes you’ve made 3) if you’ve
   not got a backup and have made previous changes that you otherwise want to keep,
   download the functions.php, edit it back to how it was before / correct whatever
   error is on line 7, then re-upload it

 * Thanks a million. Did number one and it worked. I for some reason didn’t even
   think of that. Lucky I still had the theme folder of my blog on my desktop.

   don’t know FTP login credentials, you’ll have to ask your hosting provider.
