# Parse error on install

 * I have unzipped wordpress 3.0.1 at the root of my site (not mysite/wordpress),
   configured the config file, renamed it, and when I try to access /wp-admin/install.
   php it gives me this error…
 * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘.’ in /homepages/19/d309321918/htdocs/
   wp-includes/user.php on line 588
 * Any help please?
