# Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ …. on line 46

 * When I visit my blog homepage, I receive the following message:
 * >  Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ in /home/content/j/a/n/jannaberge/html/
   > wp-load.php on line 46
 * When I attempt to load the log-in page, I receive this message:
 * >  Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ in /home/content/j/a/n/jannaberge/html/
   > wp-login.php on line 497
 * What has caused this problem? As far as I know, I’ve not altered anything since
   yesterday, when everything worked fine.

 * I solved the problem by re-uploading my wp-load.php and wp-login.php files.
