 * The PHP parse error is due to an incompatiblity since short PHP Array syntax 
   is only supported in PHP 5.4+
 * Can you please upgrade PHP on your hosting environment to PHP 5.4+?

 * I just checked and we did resolve this in the latest version 1.6.9 which is being
   released today to be backward compatible with older versions of PHP.
