# Parse Error: syntax error:

 * i noticed that my friends website that i help maintain had “sexy ladies” underneath
   her home button. when i was trying to figure out where in the code this was so
   i could remove i received this error after i uploaded:
 * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘}’ in /home/content/82/6485382/html/wp-
   content/themes/Lysa/functions.php on line 27
 * now i am not able to even access the account, log-in, re-activate it is not letting
   me go back in to edit code. please help as the entire site is now down.

 * Access your server via [FTP or SFTP](https://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients),
   navigate to `/wp-content/themes/` and rename the directory of your currently 
   active theme. This will force the default theme to activate so you can access
   the site again.
 * As for what you say earlier, remain calm and carefully follow [this guide](https://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_My_site_was_hacked).
   When you’re done, you may want to implement some (if not all) of [the recommended security measures](https://codex.wordpress.org/Hardening_WordPress).
