# Parse Error: Syntax Error

 * Hey! Just got the same issue. I tried to inactivate all plugins, change my theme
   and manually reinstall WordPress from myPHP, but the issue remains. Nothing works,
   and I’m worried I might have destroyed something beyond repair. Starting to panic
   over here.
 * My domain is whinar.se, and this is all that’s visible right now:
 * _Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ”; ‘ (T\_CONSTANT\_ENCAPSED\_STRING), 
   expecting ‘)’ in /customers/6/9/6/whinar.se/httpd.www/wp-settings.php on line
   31_
 * I also tried to edit that specifik line in the document affected, but the issue
   remains…

 * I have never edited that file before, no. I actually did edit it just now, before
   writing my post below the other thread you were replying in. I tried to remove
   the unexpected ; and replace it with a ), but nothing happened.
