 * Hello,
 * After updating the Widget Visibility Time Scheduler to 5.3.12 I the website went
   down and I received this error: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘:’, expecting‘;’
   or ‘{‘ in /home2/arcadiay/public_html/wp-content/plugins/widget-visibility-time-
   scheduler/includes/class-Hinjiwvts.php on line 171.
    Once the Plug-In was deactivated,
   the website came back up. We deleted the plug-in and reinstalled it,but get the
   same error when trying to activate it. We are running older versions of PHP (
   5.6) and WP (5.4.9) due to the Theme being used not supporting anything higher.
   According to the details on the Plug-In page these versions seem to be supported.
   This is volunteer organization and upgrading the site will take a while, is there
   a workaround in order to keep using the plug in? Thank you in advance for any
   assistance you can provide.

 * Thank you [@mariofer2005](https://wordpress.org/support/users/mariofer2005/)
   for reaching out,
    I could reproduce this error and fixed it right away. Please
   update to version 5.3.13, which was published right now.

 * Hello.
    Thank you for your quick reply. I updated it to 5.3.13 and I am able
   to activate the plug in but the moment I activate it, the website goes down showing“
   There has been a critical error on your website”

 * Because I can not reproduce this error, please disable the fatal error handler
   as it is [described here](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/disable-the-fatal-error-handler/)
   and provide the full error message, Thank you.

 * Added define( ‘WP_DISABLE_FATAL_ERROR_HANDLER’, true ); to wp-config.php and
   now I don’t get any errors but the page will not load while the plug-in is active.
   Is there any timeline of the versions of your plug-in? Maybe if I go back to
   a previous version I can restore the functionality. It worked before I updated
   it last night.
 * Thanks again

 * Please add debugging to your website ([https://wordpress.org/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/](https://wordpress.org/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/))
   and let me know what kind of message you can see in the _debug.log_ file located
   in the _uploads_ folder.
    I do not recommend to roll back to a previous version
   but you can find it on this page: [https://wordpress.org/plugins/widget-visibility-time-scheduler/advanced/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/widget-visibility-time-scheduler/advanced/).

 * We tried previous versions and it seems the issue started with 5.3.10. All previous
   versions seem to work fine.
 * Unfortunately, we are in the middle of Rodeo season and the site needs to be
   up for members to enroll on the events.
    We left the site running the 5.3.9 version
   of the plug in for now. We will try adding the debug at a later date when there
   are no scheduled events and will convey the results to you.
 * Thanks again for all your help.
