 * I was trying to edit the functions.php and once updated, this message came up:
 * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/content/98/11133298/html/
   wp-content/themes/twentyeleven/functions.php on line 671
 * Now I can’t access anything on my website – not my dashboard, posts, editor etc.
All I see is this message. I am very new at this so I need basic instructions,
   please.
    The site is [http://beinginthephilippines.com](http://beinginthephilippines.com)
 * Thank you for your help.

 * Do not edit the Twenty Eleven theme. First you need to [create a child theme for your changes](http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes).
Or install a [custom CSS plugin](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search.php?q=custom+css).
 * Re-upload a fresh, unpacked, copy of the twentyeleven folder to wp-content/themes
using [FTP](http://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients) or whatever file management
   application your host provides.

 * This is exactly why we NEVER edit core WP files.
 * Use a [Child Theme](http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes) instead to make
   modifications.
 * You will need to first download a fresh copy of your version of WP.
 * Then, you will need to replace the `functions.php` file in the theme you had
active via FTP or your hosts cPanel file browser.
 * (EDIT: Missed it by seconds… 😉

 * Won’t make that mistake again. Thanks!
