 * I was successful in changing the domain/url of my WordPress site (from a sub
   directory to the root directory). I changed the site from [http://svlongmontlaw.com/wordpress](http://svlongmontlaw.com/wordpress)
   TO [http://svlongmontlaw.com/](http://svlongmontlaw.com/)
 * But in doing so I can no longer login to my WordPress Admin/Dashboard.
 * I get the error message:
 * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘.’ in /home/content/63/8580763/html/wp-
   includes/user.php on line 990
 * I understand there is a problem with line 990 in the ‘user.php’ file. But, how
   do I find line 990 and determine what the problem is so I can fix it?

 * I have found a way to determine where line 990 is in the ‘user.php’ file but
   cannot determine where the syntax error is or how to fix it.
 * Any suggestions?

 * What version of WordPress are you using?

 * It is WordPress 3.4.2 . . . I see that there is an update available. Might that
   make a difference?

 * A [manual update](http://codex.wordpress.org/Upgrading_WordPress) might fix it,
   yes – but an automatic update might not.

 * I was able to do the manual update. Now, in attempting to login I get the message:
 * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home/content/63/8580763/
   html/wp-content/themes/evolve/library/functions/options.php on line 1
 * Any idea what I can try now? related to the ‘options.php’ file?
