Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '

I have several blogs setup that have been working fine for weeks. I’ve recently noticed that I’m getting this error on the main page of my blogs:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in /home/myusername/public_html/beerandwinemaking.net/wp-config.php on line 77

Line 77 is very long. I have checked it closely and don’t see any unclosed < tags. There are a few if( x > y) statements on this line but no unclosed tags. Can someone please help?

perhaps your site is hacked. Attacked by virus.

That doesn’t sound like a normal wp-config.php file. Post it in WordPress Pastebin so people can take a look.

Not here. We don’t need huge chunks of code in the forums.

Yes – Looks hacked to me. Everything from <script> onwards shouldn’t be there

You need to change your db password at once – you definitely should not have posted that onto a public forum.

I just removed the hack from the above .htaccess that was posted
my AVG was giving a javascript exploit warning for this topic and in the backend
not getting the warning now

so yes you have been hacked

note – we may need to crack down on code being posted here

@goodstuff, and change your DB password at your host, too, as part of the hack cleanup.

In your hosting control panel, but that’s in addition to cleaning the hack, re: the links I posted above.

Sorry about that. I didn’t notice that songdogtech said to post it in the Pastebin. Thanks for removing the post. I’m kinda new at this stuff.

change all access details(ftp, database, control panel). Re-upload the fresh WP instance and your theme. Change the files permission(404 for php file and (555 for html,image and js files)).
