# Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end

 * Hi all,
 * I tried to install a fresh copy of WordPress on the server for [http://nsrlive.co.uk/](http://nsrlive.co.uk/)
   today. I cleared everything off public_html, downloaded WordPress 3.9.2 and extracted.
   Then I copied the files over onto the server using FileZilla. The first time 
   I did, I got the screen to setup wordpress. When I clicked setup, it went to 
   a white screen. I wiped it again and re-uploaded another fresh copy. Now I get
   the error:
 * “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /var/sites/n/nsrlive.co.uk/public_html/
   wp-includes/functions.php on line 4285”
 * I’ve re-uploaded functions.php and still get it. I can’t access the host or CP
   as I don’t know the details.
 * Please help!

 * Make sure you have the very latest version of the entire WordPress package. It
   doesn’t seem like **functions.php** line 4285 is supposed to have an `$end` there:

 * Thanks for the help, Senff. My client wasn’t fully uploading everything. We’ve
   sorted it now!
