 * so i’ve read a number of forums on this topic,
 * I reuploaded a fresh wp-config.php
 * I deleted what I suspected was the culprit plug in,
 * I even went into the editor through file manager to locate the error
 * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in /home/kristyli/public_html/wp-content/
   themes/kristylin/functions.php on line 477
 * but I can’t find the syntax error. I went to line 477, and NOTHING is there.
 * Help?

 * Assuming that you cannot access your site, the best thing to do, in my opinion,
   is to delete the Theme (or rename its folder) which will revert your site to
   the default theme, assuming you haven’t previously deleted it.
 * Here is the folder to delete or rename: /home/kristyli/public_html/wp-content/
   themes/kristylin

 * It’s been figured out, I live-chatted with my hosting provider and it seemed
   like he removed the guilty string of code from the plugin I I added (which I
   thought I deleted………..) But the agent didn’t tell me what the string was (since
   he deleted it)
 * But there definitely seems like something is going on because now I have this
   side “pop-up” that I don’t know how to get rid of
 * It’s a standard signup box that says “username: , email: , a password will be
   emailed to you”
 * It kinda freaks me out it looks spammy, but my hosting provider couldn’t help.

 * To find out where the side pop-up comes from is a process of elimination. Deactivate,
   check if the pop-up is there, and reactivate each plugin. If that doesn’t locate
   it, change to the Twenty Fourteen theme, see if it is still there and go back
   to your Theme.
