# Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '=', expecting ')'

 * I am setting up a new installation and I get the following error message:
 * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘=’, expecting ‘)’ in /home/cooper/domains/
   doorcountycandy.com/public_html/wp-config.php on line 16
 * Line 16 contains: $table_prefix = ‘h7G3vcDEo3j_’;
    It also gave the same error
   when the default value was ‘wp_’
 * I have no idea where to start looking for a cause and any help is greatly appreciated.
   There is an htaccess file in the folder above the one with the Website files 
   and it contains the following:
 * RewriteEngine On
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/~cooper/doorcountycandy.com(.*)[
   NC] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /~cooper/doorcountycandy.com/$1
 * The site is hosted by Hosthead.com
